Woodward Stakes Results: Havre De Grace Wins
In the Woodward Stakes on Saturday September 3rd Havre De Grace was going at the 7 males attempting to keep the tradition of Fillies horse of the year. The race was more of a slower pace coming around the stretch with Ruled going to the early lead with Mission Impazible. Ruled stayed strong from the gate until the last few furlongs attempting to go wire to wire. Flat out came on strong late along with Havre De Grace coming strong down the stretch to pull out an impressive victory.
It would have been nice to see her win this race more easily but she did what it takes to win and we are looking forward to her future big races as she competes for horse of the year. Here are the results below along with a replay of the Woodward Stakes.
