Who won the Arlington Million? Results 08/14/2011
Cape Blanco the Irish Bred horse had an impressive win at the Arlington Million winning 2 1/2 lengths over the common rival of Gio Ponti. These horses are not a stranger to going head to head with each other and Cape Blanco put an exclamation point today as he has a strong race where the jockeys battled. Mission Approved flew out of the gate and leading most the race attempting to go wire to wire. Gio Ponti played a smart race saving ground and gunning it at the wire but it was all Cape Blanco today. Cape Blanco stalked riding 4th most the race and then gunning it at the top of the stretch to win the Arlington Million. Here is the footage below
