Uncle Mo vs Havre De Grace in the Breeders Classic
Hello horse racing world! We have some amazing horse racing for you today as two of the best horses all year will be going head to head in the $5 million dollar Breeders Cup Classic. Uncle Mo will be taking on the very versatile Havre De Grace on this November 5th Post time 7 ET @ Churchill downs.
When Uncle MO was taking out of the day of the Kentucky Derby earlier this year there were a lot of doubts on this horse. When a horse has an injury like a liver ailment many times it can affect it for the rest of its life. This was not the case with Uncle Mo as he has put together a great racing year and earned a top spot in the classic. Its fitting that this race is back in Kentucky and will give this horse the Churchill race he missed in the derby. The only thing is Uncle MO has never raced this distance which could very well be a factor. This race will show how really good this horse is and the winner could very well be the horse of the year. Uncle Mo will for sure be one of the horses to watch for sure.
Standing in his way of a victory, outside of the other talented horses in this field, one that really stands out is Havre De Grace. This horse is going to attempt to be the third female in a row to win the Breeders Cup following Rachels Alexandria and Zenyatta two very tough acts to follow. Havre De Grace has shown her great ability to lead from the front and come from behind in closing fashion so its versatility really makes it a unique horse that can adapt to many situations. What is very impressive is this horse as already shown she can beat the boys when racing in the Woodward Stakes September 3rd.
So the battle will take place today and will be what I feel is the the best horse racing of the year. So tune in to ESPN and watch them go at it.
