Punters Tip For 2021 Royal Ascot—Top Favourites

The Royal Ascot begins on Tuesday, in the third week of June, and it’s set to feature the thrills and spills that are synonymous with major sporting events. We take a quick glance at the 2021 Royal Ascot favourites that are currently catching the attention of punters in the ante-post betting markets.

Punters will have the opportunity to predict a winner in hopes that they’ll predict right and smile to the bank. However, with every potential to win comes the potential for a loss. As such, punters require some tips to select a likely winner for the 2021 Royal Ascot.

Below are some horses that are already standing out as a noteworthy challenger for the Royal Ascot:

1. STRADIVARIUS

The 7-year-old horse is dubbed the million-pound horse since he won the €1million prize after becoming victorious in the Ascot Gold Cup, Yorkshire Cup, Lonsdale Cup and Goodwood Cup in 2018.

He had an impressive display in 2018, 2019, and 2020 Royal Ascot as he won the Ascot Gold Cup royal in those three years, and age bettors see him as a noteworthy title defender for this years’ event.

His regular jockey is Frankie Dettori, and since he’s still agile on the horse, nothing seems to prevent him from giving the same dazzling performance he gave in the previous Ascot events. He’s injury-free and seems agile enough for the race—he’s definitely a hot jockey for this years’ Royal Ascot, and it’s sure going to be in years to come.

If Stradivarius and his horse grace this years’ Royal Ascot, punters and bookmakers believe that he’s definitely going to follow the prints of the legendary Yeats, who graced the winners’ enclave four times consecutively from 2006 to 2009.

2. BATTAASH

Battash undoubtedly ranks among the fastest flat racing horses that’ll be gracing the competition, and he showed his superiority in a stylish way when he won the event last year. Punters and bookmakers believe that he’ll be a top-favourite if he lines up for the King’s Stand Stakes. He’ll be expected to defend his title over the 5 furlongs on the first day of the 2021 Royal Ascot event.

He came close to winning the 2018 and 2019 event of the King’s Stand, and finally achieved his dream of being crowned winner at the 2020 renewal. Every odds looks in his favour and bookmakers believe that he currently stands the best chance for punters. The Charles Hills trained 7-year old horse has a good chance to claim a back-to-back victory.

3. PALACE PIER

The John Gosden trained horse won the St Jame’s Palace Stakes in 2020 and it was saddled by the hot jockey Frankie Dettori. It was a highly titillating event that got the spectators on their feet, and this year is expected to see a repetition of the excitement.

In that event, Detorri began slowly then gained momentum with less than a furlong left in the race. It overtook punters favourite Pinatubo to win the event by less than a length.

Palace Pier was able to further engrain his supremacy with a victory in the Jacques Le Marois race that stunned spectators. Bookmakers believe that the long break will make him well-tuned enough to recover from the unfortunate event that befell him in last year’s Royal Ascot after his horseshoe was lost; he finished third in that event.

CAMPANELLE

The American-Trained horse is expected to race at the Commonwealth Cup in this Years’ Royal Ascot event. The Wesley Ward trained horse won the Queen Mary Stakes in 2020, and it’s expected to give an impressive performance this year. The 3-year old horse stylishly won a reputable race in France last year before going back to his home country.

Punters should exercise caution stacking on this horse as the Commonwealth Cup is very unpredictable and there are expected to be a lot of horses vying for the crown in this years’ competition.
