On Sunday July 31st Euroears entered the Bring Cosby Stakes (G1) facing last years winner Smiling Tiger. It took place at Del Mar 6 furlongs and Euroears at the age of 7 had an amazing trip taking the lead and not looking back.
This horse is a pure speed horse says veteran trainer Bob Baffert who in the same day won the Haskel Invitational with Coil. Challenger Smiling Tiger did not get a good break out of the gate and had a late charge but Euroears was too much and too fast on this given Sunday.
Ridden by jockey Rafael Bejarano Euroears who said that he asked for a little and the horse really took off to set the track record at 6 furlongs with a blazing 1.08 17 clocking. This is accredited to the recent training of 6 furlong sprints since the 2nd place $2 million Golden Shaheen which got Euroears in top form.
This puts him in the $1 million career earnings with a great record of 10 wins in 19 starts at the age of seven. Euroears and Bob Baffert have their eyes set on the BC Sprint at Churchill Downs and so does Smiling Tiger who would like to get some revenge.
