California Chrome Set to Take Down the Triple Crown
Hello everyone! Well it looks like we have another contender to take down the elusive Triple Crown which has not been accomplished since 1978. California Chrome has look flawless in his last 6 victories and if you hold them side by side you would think you were watching the same race. He like to sit back and stalk the leader until the very end where he fires taking the victory from any other contenders.
In the Belmont he raced very smooth and Ride on Curlin was the only real contender as they pulled away from the pack at the end but the clear winner was California Chrome. This horse is in great form and looks to be a possible winner of all three as it seems there has not been a dueling pace or a ton of effort needed for Chrome to pull off the previous races.
On June 7th we will find out if there can still be a Triple Crown winner in today’s racing world. We have had a few in the past come this far but could not close the deal. Does California Chrome have that magic to get it done and keep horse racing in the spotlight? My answer is yes and it is going to be very exciting to watch as all eyes will be on the Belmont.
